Health care doesn’t end when your doctor’s appointment does. Sometimes that is just the beginning. Call your doctor if you have any questions or concerns, especially if:
You don’t understand your care instructions (such as how to take a medication or how to clean a wound).
You start to feel worse (such as having more pain, or if your temperature goes up).
You are having a problem with your medicine (such as if it upsets your stomach, gives you a headache or a rash, etc., you don’t feel better, and so on).
You haven’t gotten your results back from a test. Don’t wait for the doctor or nurse to call you.
If it is an emergency call 911.
